How to fix Sensi Wi-Fi Network No Internet Access notification for Android

On most Android devices, you will receive a notification when connecting to a Wi-Fi network that doesn’t have internet access. When you connect your Sensi thermostat to your Wi-Fi network, you will briefly connect to the Sensi network. This Sensi network doesn’t have internet access, but this connection is only for installation purposes. Your Android device will connect back to your Wi-Fi network after installation.

This notification affects the Wi-Fi connection process. Follow the steps below to properly connect your Sensi thermostat to your Wi-Fi network.

1.  When starting the Wi-Fi connection process, select Connect my Sensi to Wi-Fi

2. While in Wi-Fi settings, choose the Sensi network. After choosing the Sensi network, stay on the settings screen until you receive a notification about the Sensi network not having internet access. You want to say “yes” or “ok” to this notification. Also, if there is an option to “not see this notification again,” select that as well.

3. Go back to the Sensi app and enter or scan (depending on your Sensi thermostat model) the 8-digit password/PIN to create a secure connection with Sensi.

After entering your 8-digit password/PIN, you should be able to continue following the steps in your Sensi app to connect your thermostat to Wi-Fi.

Note: If these steps didn’t work for you, it is likely that you have an advanced Wi-Fi setting enabled that prevents your phone from connecting to unsecured or poor-quality Wi-Fi networks. If this is the case, disable this setting and retry.
