What if I turn on geofencing while my thermostat is in Auto Mode?
If you turn on geofencing while in auto mode and leave your 3-mile home boundary, your heating set point will lower three degrees and your cooling set point will raise 3 degrees. Stated another way, your comfort range will grow by 6 degrees – 3 degrees on each side. When you cross back into your 3-mile home boundary, your heating and cooling set points will go back to where you had them originally.
