Setting up your Aux Heat and Outdoor Weather Source on your thermostat

Once your thermostat is configured for Heat Pump with Aux Heat, then the option for Aux Lockout and Balance Point will be made available. Learn more about Aux Heat Settings here.

You will have the choice to use internet-based weather or using the outdoor sensor as the weather source.

If you want to use the outdoor sensor to control your auxiliary heat, you can set that up at your thermostat.

  • At the thermostat, tap the Menu icon
  • Tap Advanced Setup
  • Tap HVAC Equipment
  • Tap Aux Heat Settings
  • Tap Outdoor Weather Source
  • Select Outdoor Sensor

Select Save to finalize your changes
