Temperature Offset
Temperature Offset is a feature that lets you adjust the room temperature reading +/- 5°F. This helps if your Sensi thermostat is in a slightly warm or cold spot, or if the room temperature does not match your old thermostat.
To update the room temperature reading using Temperature Offset
- Open the Sensi app.
- Tap on your thermostat name.
- Tap on the settings gear.
- Tap on System settings.
- Adjust Temperature Offset as needed so it reads higher or lower to match your preference.
- Your Sensi thermostat will use the new number as the actual temperature of the room.
*This feature only applies offsets to thermostat, not sensors.
If the offset adjustment (+/- 5°F) does not get you to the room temperature you like, it may be necessary to perform a load calculation on the building and HVAC equipment to confirm the HVAC equipment is sized correctly. In nearly all cases where a digital thermostat is not reading accurately, it is because of a poor thermostat location or an improperly sized heating/cooling HVAC equipment.
